The members of the online content strategy community are enthusiastic about the idea of creating/curating a knowledge base of content strategy topics and areas. We want to be transparent and collaborative, and we invite you to join the effort.

We’ll be gathering the resources that exist already, identifying gaps, and working together to complete the topics. We’d love to gather models and samples, so we have examples to point to. Of course, we’ll want to add annotations, questions, and context to any templates or documents so people understand that the process of getting to any deliverable is of critical importance.

In the same spirit as the content readability project, I’m opening up the effort to the larger content strategy community.

We’ll start by addressing several foundational issues:

  1. What is the problem we are trying to solve?
  2. Who is this for?
  3. What’s already available, and what can we learn from previous efforts?
  4. Why would people want to participate in the effort?
  5. Are there ways to fund the project?

If you’d like to get involved in this effort as we start it up, please let me know. We’d love to have your participation!
